How do I clean a aluminium bronze coin?

I have a brand new collectible aluminium bronze coin. But a few days ago I noticed a couple of large green spots on it. I think maybe I spilled something on it, but I don't remember having anything besides water near it though. I tried to clean it with soap and water, and it got the green spots off, but there's still a layer of something on there. What's the best way to clean it?

1. lemon juice or vinnegar i think... idk look it up
2. Collector coins should never be cleaned. you can try extra virgin olive oil for it will do the least damage but it may take a long time. Any thing such as vinegar which is an acid will eat into the coin.
