Can i use aluminium foil instead of parchment paper or baking sheets to line the pan when baking cookies?

  1. Sure, then it easier to clean the pan!
  2. I use the non stick foil. Works great.
  3. Yes, but you may risk some of the foil peeling off and sticking to the bottom of the cookies. If you have spray oil - use that on the foil first.
  4. Yes..you can. I tried to use parchment paper once to bake cookies on...IT SMOKED IN THE OVEN! It made the cookies taste like crap....and the whole house smelled like something was on fire. It was awful. Now I only use aluminum foil when baking so that never happens again. If it says to grease the pan...it's still a good idea to do that..just grease the top of the foil. Things can still stick to the foil. Just a tip. Shiny side of the foil goes up.
  5. YES! I do it! It is easy to clean and it is as good as the parchment paper. Would you check this out? http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AnfPR1ZXsSE3NWMiwFy.O8vty6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20071207212324AAj4Afq
