  1. butter and do not over cook them if they burn alot when you do this then drop 25degrees. and set the timer for 5 min early.
  2. You can get parchment paper at Smart & Final stores. I live in So Cal and that is where I buy it. Measuring cups and spoons too or try Bed, Bath & Beyond.
  3. well which way are they like are they homemade or store bought. the measuring spoons and cups my mom got them from Walmart near the metal utensils like the big measuring cups. i say you can use foil t bake cookies on just spray the foil with cooking spray so they don't stick and use a cookie sheet nd your good to go.enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. Your correct, wax paper has wax, and parchment is full of silicone. But that doesn't explain why your cookies have been burning, just why they would stick and taste like crayons. My best guess is that your oven runs a little hot, or goes way up and down. But you need more basics. California is a big state, but you can get all your basics in most big box grocery stores. Go grab "I'm Just Here For More Food", by Alton Brown. Read, Laugh, and enjoy.
  5. Go to a general mdse store like Target or Walmart for the best price on what you want. Any grocery will carry parchment paper where they sell plastic bags and foils. And yes you can use foil instead of parchment paper. Or try a spray oil on your pan. Or buy the non-stick foil, but this is expensive. Buy an oven thermometer and check your oven's correct temp
  6. a) Use tin foil. b) Rub it on with your fingers, or melt and brush. c) You should be able to get them at your regular supermarket.
  7. do not use foil. if a small piece tears you might not notice it. (it so horrible when a smidge of unseeable foil is stuck to any food and you get that shock feeling on your teeth, as many people have fillings)there are many reasons you cookies may be burning 1. you may have too much butter in the dough 2. you may be in a high altitude and need to adjust you temp and cook time 3. you oven rack may need to be adjusted try using a glass cooking sheet(with a glass sheet you lower temperature 50 degrees). you could also use a light coat of non stick spray such as Pam, as far as spoons and cups, they can be bought at any grocery, walmart, or even dollar stores
  8. *Yes ! u can use aluminium foil in place of parchment paper ! Just spray or smear the foil with some fat : butter or any cooking oil with yr fingers.....! U can get the cups & spoons at any of yr regular mall /supermarket or surely at Walmart .....!!~☺ PS: try to keep yr oven temp. down/low, to avoid burning of the cookies !
